THE SHIRLEY D. HARRIS MEMORIAL PAGE

Shirley D. Harris

Shirley Bales was very fond of a grandmother who was a Chenoweth. She was quite taken with Grandma's wonderful ability to tell stories. Later, Shirley married Richard C. Harris and a life pursuit of this couple became a search and study of the Chenoweth genealogy which spanned thirty years.

When Shirley passed away in the early nineties, Richard decided to create a memorial to Shirley through the editing of the new history, The Chenoweth Family In America.

After the completion of this arduous task, all the Harris's notes, papers, letters, xeroxs, clippings, maps, and sketches accumulated down through the years was accessed into the library at the Kentucky Museum of Western Kentucky University at Bowling Green. This large collection of notes is available for study and examination by interested parties.

A four generation picture of Shirley's family.
