The Chenoweth Family Association’s mission is to locate and document the genealogy of all of the descendants of our ancestor, John Chenoweth, who came to the American colonies in about 1700.

PUBLIC INFORMATION:         We publish the names of cousins, names of their children, their spouses and their parents, including dates of birth and death, on our Chenoweth Family Association genealogy website, www.chenowethsite.com. We publish other interesting historic information about the ancestors of present-day cousins, as this contributes to the general knowledge about the history of the family and the history of the United States of America. The Chenoweth Family Association’s website, www.chenowethfamily.org, also may contain photos from family events, Chenoweth Family Association items for sale, and other similar information that might be interesting to the public or to family members.

PRIVATE INFORMATION:       We collect but do not publish the e-mail addresses, mail addresses, telephone numbers, and other similar information for persons whose information we have collected in our database.

USE OF PRIVATE INFORMATION:      We use the contact information, that we do not publish, to communicate with cousins about matters relevant to the Chenoweth Family Association. This includes information about upcoming family reunions (“Chenoweth Family Gatherings”) and other events or information that may be useful to cousins. We are aware of the European Union’s GDPR and are working to comply as much as possible with its requirements.

SHARING INFORMATION:      We do not sell or give away or share otherwise any of the private information we have collected about cousins and their relatives.

FACEBOOK:     The Chenoweth Family Association maintains a Facebook page, to which relatives may post their own information. The Chenoweth Family Association will not post private information on the Facebook page. Managers of the Facebook page may remove any postings by others that are deemed inappropriate.

NOT-FOR-PROFIT STATUS:    The Chenoweth Family Association is a non-profit Florida corporation, recognized as tax-exempt and charitable by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(C)3 of the Internal Revenue Code and registered with the State of Florida to solicit contributions.
